Logging - PDF Annotator Manual

Help Tracking Down Software Problems

If you experience problems with PDF Annotator, Product Support will eventually ask you to go to Extras Settings Maintenance Logging, and change the Logging level setting.

After turning logging on, please try to reproduce the problem, and then send the log files generated, including step by step instructions of what you did to reproduce it, and the exact time and date when the problem occurred.

Please only set the Logging level to Debugging, if asked so by Product Support. This setting may slow down the application.

Sending Log Files

After being asked by Product Support, you will find the Send log files feature under Extras Settings Maintenance Logging.

Alternatively, please send all files with the extensions *.log, *.png and *.sil, which you find by choosing Extras Settings Maintenance Logging, and clicking Open log file folder.
